Vision & Dental Insurance
Did you know that the Great Lakes Region offers voluntary dental and vision plans as a benefit to every employee at each of our churches?
Our dental insurance is through Delta Dental and our vision insurance is through DeltaVision (a
partnership between Delta Dental and Vision Service Plan (VSP)). DeltaVision utilizes VSP
insurance plans, but Delta Dental handles all the administration. This allows VSP to offer better
coverage with lower rates.
Delta Dental and DeltaVision offer exceptional coverage with a wide range of participating doctors. Both are PPO plans which means people in Illinois, Michigan, and Wisconsin can all participate. You just need to make sure that the doctors you see are “in-
network.” You can easily find in-network doctors on the Delta and VSP websites.

2024 Monthly Rates
Open enrollment is the first 3 weeks of January every year, with the plans becoming effective on February 1st. New employees have 30 days to enroll with no waiting period.

Church Paying
Since vision and dental plans are outside the realm of health care reform, churches can choose to pay for these premiums for their employees as a non-taxable fringe benefit. However, churches are not required to pay the premiums. Unless your church offers this as a benefit, you will be expected to personally pay for the premiums monthly. All participants in our plans are required to pay via ACH withdrawal. The withdrawal for February premiums will be deducted from your specified account on Thursday, January 26th. After January, monthly payments will be withdrawn from your account on the 18th of each month.
