41 Hours: An Experience with Holy Spirit

At 41 Hours there were several individuals that had experiences that they felt compelled to share with the folks here at the GLR. Of those experiences, one thing is very prominent: Holy Spirit.

For months leading up to 41 Hours the staff at the GLR were focused on fasting and prayer for the Lord to have His way with the event, and that we hoped that Holy Spirit would be present throughout the process.
The event had worship that focused on the Most High God and exalting the name of Jesus. The powerful presence of Holy Spirit brought conviction, healing, and compassion to those who needed it.
41 Hours this year, was different than in years past, and this was not by design that we here as the GLR planned but rather because room was made for Holy Spirit to have the way, the word, and the whole event to move.
This was by design from the discerning of the Holy Spirit and God's timing in all of it. Sunday brought worship and an open door and a seat at the table to lay everything at the feet of the Father. With prayer stations, altars, and intercessors, this was made to encompass our language and communication with the Lord: powerful prayer.
These moments of altar calls, praying over, and worship lead us into a presence with Holy Spirit like nothing else many have ever experienced.

Pastors and leaders across the region are still sharing their impactful experiences.
"I felt refreshed after the conference, and excited to get home and share what the Holy Spirit had laid on my heart."
- 41 Hours Attendee
And more...
"I left refreshed, grateful, and deeply encouraged. The different focus this year was truly life-giving. It felt fresh and spoke right to my heart."
- Rev. Wes Duff of Red Cedar Church ,Rice Lake, Wisconsin
These stories are both unique but also widespread amongst attendees of 41 Hours this year at the Amway Grand. That Ambassador Ballroom became a place of praising the Lord, and even regular hotel guests were asking curiously in elevators, "Hey, what is going on in the ballroom?".
When answered, folks typically smiled and said, "Well, that is just amazing! Have a blessed event!".
Holy Spirit showed up in such a powerful way that many people felt compelled to pray even after the event "ended" on Tuesday. Prayer was happening in the ballroom and the Crown Foyer into the early afternoon. People were going into the spaces and places to meet with our wonderful God. People were being prayed over and for in these spaces and places over the course of the event.
People shared stories of hurt in their lives and allowed that pain to start to be changed into purpose from Davey's talk on Tuesday. Walls around the hearts of those in grief fell, and release of those situations and circumstances were surrendered at the feet of Jesus.

We celebrated and we ate a "feast" of ice cream together after a worship set that got people to their feet and dancing like David before the Lord. Arms were spread wide, and voices were lifting up and praising God. Tears streamed down faces, and still people came to the altars and wept to the Father, gave thanks to Him, prayed to Him, and even in all the physical noise happening, had a stillness with Him.
Stillness in the noise of life is what we crave, and the Lord can give that to us if we begin to spend time getting curious, praying, and letting Holy Spirit work through us. The work is never done, but we are also never alone.
We can't wait to see what the Lord does after this event and what He has in store for next year.
